Arrecife, museo del mar
Cruce de caminos: Filmmakers from the Canaries
For decades, Arrecife, capital of the island of Lanzarote, was an important fishing port. Thousands of men went to the sea to make a living. Among the few remnants of that fishing history is the legacy of Ángel Díaz, an inhabitant of Arrecife who for many years devoted himself to rescuing Lanzarote’s material heritage connected to fishing and to the sea. That legacy is currently managed by his son, who is aware of the significance of preserving the past for generations to come.
