In the 1870s, a young Piotr Kropotkin arrives in Switzerland, exiled from Russia. There he finds a completely unique world: the country of the most accurate clocks has not managed yet to homogenise the logic of time. The hour, still in the process of being coordinated on a State level, continues to depend on whoever regulates it: big factories, railways or the mail service. In that context, where political struggle is connected to the various notions of time management, he will witness the rise of the anarchist movement, persecuted and punished by politicians and powerful businessmen. Time becomes economy, economy becomes politics, and politics becomes time. Those who control time, control capital, and those who control capital, control life.
