‘Ntoni Valastro, a Sicilian fisherman from the Aci Trezza area, sets out to sea early every day to earn a living for his family. His job is hard and dangerous, and more than himself, the people who truly benefit from it are the middlemen who buy his catch cheaply when he lands in port and then sell it at a much higher price in the market. Knowing all too well that this situation has been reproduced since time immemorial, Valastro is possessed by a strong sense of injustice. Determined to get a stronger position in the fishing sector, the Sicilian man decides to move up higher in the social scale. An option that could prove very risky.
