Trasfoco: Fishing

A fishing village undergoes far-reaching changes: the traditional local economy is replaced by the tourist industry that moves large sums of money and brings in masses of people. You can no longer see fishing boats in the port, with their nets, pots and buoys, but instead ferries and coaches waiting for the arrival of thousands of visitors. In this new landscape, three different perspectives overlap: that of the youngest people, adapting to new technologies; that of the elder people, with their self-absorbed melancholic gaze, remaining proof of a vanished world; and that of the middle-aged people in between, floating unmoored in radical uncertainty.
