Leviathan
Trasfoco: Fishing
A gigantic fishing boat sails the sea in search of prey. Like an infernal machine full of nooks and crannies, holds, protective armour and fishing gear, it moves nonstop day and night devouring whatever it finds on its way. More than a boat, it reminds us of a sea monster. Inside it, rather than human beings, the workers look like extensions or living organs of that enormous monster. Instruments of a process in which they themselves are devoured by endless looting and accumulation. The sound of the belly of that vast machine augurs the worst omens, while the corpses of those seen as expendable or partly devoured are thrown over the gunwale. A journey to the centre of destruction and to the horrors of mass industrial fishing.
