Trasfoco: Fishing

The Aran Islands are located off the west coast of Ireland. They consist of three rocky and largely barren islands where it is not easy to find arable land for growing crops. During winter storms, the islands are practically engulfed by the rough sea in which it is treacherous to set sail. In this extremely harsh setting the local man and women struggle to survive. For them fishing is a vital yet dangerous necessity.
